Putin wants Russia to union labor, reconciliation in Ukraine

President Vladimir Putin said he is committed to peace and does not seek to isolate Russia, urged citizens to labor mobilization against the backdrop of war, sanctions and the West and pledged to promote peace in the Ukraine.


"We need calm, dignified and effectively equip their country, not fenced off from the outside world. Without breaking ties with partners, but also not allowing us to behave contemptuously or mentoring", - Putin said a group of deputies of the State Duma, which gathered Thursday in Yalta sanatorium.

"We need to consolidate and mobilize, but not for war or any conflict, not for confrontation with someone else, and for the hard work in the name of Russia and for Russia", - said Putin.

West Russia punished with sanctions for the annexation of the Crimean peninsula, where Putin spoke on Thursday with members of the company as their Prime Minister Dmitry Medvedev. The Kremlin said the ban on the import of western food.

"I note that this is not just a retaliatory measure, a measure of domestic support, as well as opening our markets for those producers who want to cooperate with Russia and are ready for such cooperation", - said Putin.

He has repeatedly denied the charges and West of Kiev in supporting and arming pro-Russian separatists in eastern Ukraine, and on Thursday reiterated that it wants peace in the neighboring country.

"We are closely watching what is happening there. Raise these issues and to the leadership of Ukraine, and the world community to key international organizations. And we will do everything in our power to ensure that this conflict was terminated as soon as possible , to Ukraine as soon as possible stopped bloodshed ", - Putin said.
